This loop through San Francisco's Golden Gate Heights neighborhood features spectacular views of the Sunset district, all the way to the ocean, as well as some gnarly steep and high up stairs. From Funston St and Quintara St, you can climb down Funston for a peek into the closed Hawk Hill area, but you need to backtrack, as that's a dead end.

Back at Quintara, hike up 14th Ave, past the impressive rock formations at Mount Ln, and all the way up to Grand View Hill. Take the stairs to the summit, walk all away around and enjoy the 360 view from the ocean to Golden Gate Bridge, to Twin Peaks.

Go down the stairs on the east side of the hill, continue on Moraga, make right on Funston and a left on Ortega. Follow Ortega to 11th Ave, turn right, and then turn left on Pacheco St., then right at 10th St. and right on Quintara, back to the starting point.
