This trail starts near the county jail in San Bruno, at the end of Sneath Ln. Not a bike but a foot trail, because the last trail segment before getting back into San Bruno is a half mile of steep stairs down and back up a canyon, only accessible to hikers.

After a steep ascent on a paved road, turn right onto Sweeney Ridge Trail, which offers stunning views to both the Pacifica and the South San Francisco side all along the way.

At the crossing with the Mori Ridge Trail, stay on Sweeney to get back to San Bruno an not wander over to Pacifica. Back into San Bruno, make sure to find the small unmarked trail entrance after passing the refuse collection site, which leads right by the county jail complex at an elevated level.
