This easy one hour hike leads through San Francisco's most schmancy neighborhoods, St Francis Wood, off of Portola Ave. It features extravagant villas and great views of Edgewood and the Sunset, all the way to the ocean.

Park on Ulloah and cross busy Portola Ave over the footbridge. Go down the stairs again and walk 100 ft west on the sidewalk of Portola, to make a left onto San Pablo Ave. At Santa Monica Way, make a right and follow it past the next intersection.

Turn left on Santa Clara Ave, right at San Anselmo Ave, left at Santa Ana Ave, proceed up to the fountain, then turn left on Saint Francis Blvd. Find the secret stairway on San Anselmo, go down, and up the stairs on the other side. Right on Yerba Buena and then left on Miraloma brings you back.
