Tucked away in a remote corner of Lindamar, Pacifica, lies San Pedro Valley Park, owned by San Mateo County. You can access the park either through the main parking lot, or directly from Oddstad Blvd. Walk about a mile on unpaved Weiler Ranch Rd, which is almost flat and wildlife can be spotted, like deer and hawks.

Hazelnut Trail then veers off sharply to the right and leads up the hill on a steep, windy path. On the way up, it offers great views of the park and the ocean at Lindamar Pacifica State Beach.

After passing the summit, the trail gently switches back down to the park entrance, leading through a forest of tall eucalyptus trees.
